TOD MOUNTAIN RANCH CANADA To book call : 01798 865946 or e mail
Located in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, the ranch is just a 4 hours drive from Vancouver and is the perfect mid-way stop between Vancouver and Banff or Jasper. It is surrounded by mountains and offers you a relaxing, tranquil environment to enjoy your horseback riding vacation with nature and the outdoors. Their team of experienced Wranglers guide you into the mountains surrounding the ranch on an extensive network of old logging roads and cattle trails through the forest to nearby lakes and streams and up into the alpine.
They offer a variety of rides that vary in duration from one or two hours or all day rides. Riding is on old logging roads and cattle trails high up into the mountain alpine, crossing streams and riding along the creeks. They generally ride for 4 – 5 hours each day however guests can choose to ride as much or as little as they like. On the shorter 2 hour rides, they will ride out after breakfast returning to the ranch for lunch. Then after lunch, you will ride out again to explore a different direction and a new set of trails still returning in plenty of time for you to relax and freshen up before dinner.
On other days you will take a packed lunch in your saddle bags and follow the trails to the Heffley Lake lookout or deep into the bush, where you will enjoy a picnic lunch returning to the ranch late in the afternoon. When you’re not riding, the lodge is the hub of activity at the ranch where guests gather for meals, activities and socialising.
This purpose built lodge is at the heart of the activity at Tod Mountain Ranch with breathtaking views down Louis Creek Valley, viewed through the stunning wall of windows. There are a number spacious cabins available, these are located in small clearings amongst the trees and are luxuriously equipped to ensure your comfort. The cabins have either one queen bed or two full size double beds and all have a private bathroom with bath tub and shower.
There are three hearty meals to enjoy during your stay, breakfast will be served in the dining room every morning before the rides depart. There will always be a selection of cereals, toast, bagels, muffins or pastries, yoghurts and fresh fruit. They can also rustle up a hot dish of bacon and eggs or maybe pancakes. For lunch, if you are not picnicking out on the trail, you can expect to enjoy thick home-made soups one day with fresh pasta dishes the next or maybe delicious salads with grilled chicken or seafood – all served with fresh home baked breads. In order to satisfy that huge appetite you will have earned after a day’s riding, dinner is a 3-course feast of home style cooking using the freshest ingredients. Other activities are hiking trails, a horseshoe pitch, games room with pool table, card table, dice and board games, a TV lounge with DVD library and satellite plus a fireside lounge with book and magazine library and there is Internet access. The ranch can also arrange for a local spa therapist to come to the ranch and provide spa treatments in the comfort and privacy of your cabin.
