This Guest Ranch is also a working guest ranch, located in the scenic mountains of Idaho. This ranch has been very popular with returning guests in the past and has recently been refurbished and reopened after being closed last year.
We are delighted it is back on track and offers some of the best western riding lessons for beginners as well as inspiring experienced riders to enjoy their ranch stay. Here you can experience authentic cowboy life with all the comforts of home. Children 9+ can join in the horse riding activities - here is no kids organised programme here. The Ranch caters to all skill levels of horsemanship from novice to experienced riders. Enjoy the clean, crisp mountain air, while at the same time learning about the cowboy way of life.
At the Lodge you will find cards, a poker table, a pool table, horseshoe pits, old fashioned cowboy hot tub, mountain biking & hiking. The Lodge building was constructed by the owners and is quite a feat of engineering. The ranch also offers excellent ranch-style home cooked meals. Eat in a ranch style setting like one huge family. In addition to home-cooked meals, they also offer a lot of outdoor and Dutch Oven cooking. The pioneer-style cabins are all of rustic construction and were built in the spirit of the old west, but are designed to keep you snug and comfortable. You will be warm even on cool summer nights. Each cabin has its own unique look both inside and out. This is a perfect place to watch the stars come out at night or listen to the coyotes serenade.

You will be matched up with a horse according to the level of your riding ability. The ranch offers a variety of riding for the experienced and inexperienced rider. They have riding instructors that can teach you from basic to advanced horsemanship, roping, team penning, cutting, sorting and much more. You will learn horse etiquette and safety, the basics of horse control such as starting and stopping, plus saddling your horse.
Due to it's location, the ranch has no mains electricity so they use a generator during the day and evening. This is turned off at about 10.00pm so you might want to put a torch in your baggage.
