1.  SILVER SPUR WORKING RANCH  - Cattle & Horse Drive - Click here for details

Special horse and  drives and ranch stays through the summer.  The Silver Spur Ranch in Idaho offers a number of genuine cowboy experiences the most popular of which are the Horse Drives.  Having been collected from Idaho Falls or Jackson Hole in Wyoming (approx 3 hrs) you will be transferred to Warm Creek Cow Camp which is in an isolated location.  There are few modern amenities here, rooms have propane lighting and outside loo's and open air shower.  (not for the faint hearted this is for the true old fashioned pioneer experience).  A couple of nights at the ranch and 3 nights camping out in tents.  Excellent food and riding, suitable for more experienced riders as you could be in the saddle for up to six hours a day.  Altitude 7500 ft. Destination Airport : Jackson Hole (3 hr drive) or Idaho Falls;  Open May-Sept.  Sunday-Saturday. Max guests : 10.

This ranch has it all take on the west with a ranch and river vacation amongst the towering peaks of Idaho's magnificent Scenic Byway.  2900 acre ranch, riding trails wind along the river and up through forests to an overnight tent camp.   Excellent cabins, comprehensive programme of events such as overnight campouts at river camp after kayaking, challenging fishing, cattle round-ups certain times of the year but no fast riding outside arena.    Suitable for beginner riders and those looking for a busy programme as well as a lively evening entertainment programme.  Open June to October.  Sunday-Sunday.  Max Guests 54.  Destination Airport : Missoula or Idaho Falls

4.  4D LONGHORN GUEST RANCH - Improve your western riding skills

Enjoy the real cowboy experience in the high country area of West Mountains.  Highly recommended for those who wish to learn to ride or improve their riding, as well as experienced riders as the riding tuition is second to none.  Friendly atmosphere, accommodation is in eight old pioneer cabins, separate outside bath house and loos.  Experienced wranglers will match you to your mount for the week.  Evening entertainment around the pool table, BYOB.  Open August-September  2008 due to renovations.   Start any day.  Altitude 5000 ft.  Max Guests 20
