Burnt Well Guest Ranch is a small, family-owned and operated ranch in the warm, sunny climate of New Mexico, 16 miles from the nearest highway, 35 miles from the nearest town, with three generations living on the ranch. This is not a dude ranch but an actual working cattle and sheep ranch.    Kim and Patricia may be new to the guest ranch business, but are no strangers to entertaining people. They have a special passion for strengthening the family and want to provide a place where families from grandparents down to the smallest of children can get away from the high-tech, fast-paced life, so many have found themselves in.

There will be two cattle drives for spring 2011. The first cattle drive is usually scheduled for the end of April 2011 when they will be driving cow and calf pairs from Burnt Well to a ranch that we have leased. The second drive is  scheduled for mid May 2011

Take cattle to the Kerr Ranch near Roswell and bring the ones back that have been there for the last year.

Kerr Ranch Cattle Drive Tentative Itinerary

Arrive in the afternoon/ fit riders to saddles & horses/ get acquainted
Gather and drive cattle to the first camp site
Drive cattle the rest of the way to the Kerr ranch.
Gather summer cattle and drive them from Kerr ranch to mid way camp site.
Drive cattle on into Burnt Well. HOT TUB!!
Wean the calves that were just brought home.
Leisurely breakfast & morning farewells

Provided cowboy" bedroll (a 3 " mattress made with sheets and blankets, rolled in a canvas tarp), cots for those who may be squeamish about sleeping right on the ground, "cowboy" teepees in case of inclement weather, well broke ranch horses, top notch Dutch oven meals and lots of campfire stories to take home with you.

Ranch stay £994.00 pp plus £94.00 ranch gratuity charge.

Price includes service ranch charge, 3 meals a day, accommodation and ranch activities.   - recommend renting a car.  Destination airport Albuquerque with additional fare to Roswell
