Summer 2020 Pack Trip Schedule  (2021 DATES TBA)

During July and August "Open" scheduled trips that individuals or groups can join. These trips vary in length from 4-8 days. 10 guests per trip. Complimentary shuttle service to and from the Missoula Airport. 

The riding stock at The Rich Ranch is held in high regard whether you are on a Guest Ranch stay or one of their excellent pack trips into the "Bob" as its known. Mules carry all the equipment for these multi-day trips, the steep and narrow trails means walking the horse is the safe way to get to the top.       (SCROLL DOWN FOR LIST OF DATES)

#1: NORTH FORK FALLS PHOTO TRIP   June 7 - 10 (4 Days) 

A chance for those with limited time to travel into the Scapegoat addition of the Bob Marshall Wilderness and see the spectacular North Fork water falls. Witness the change from spring to summer in the Rocky Mountains.

#3: DAHAHER MEADOWS SPRING ADVENTURE TRIP  June 28 - July 2 (5 Days)

This remote mountain valley was homesteaded by the Danaher Family in 1900. After 15 years of ranching this isolated mountain hideaway, the family sold it back to the government. It is once again part of the wilderness and an excellent area to enjoy lush green meadows and an abundance of wildflowers.

#4: YOUNG'S CREEK / ALPINE LAKESJuly 5 - 10 (6 Days)

A progressive trip down Youngs Creek to the "Hole In The Wall" Canyon. Great fishing and awesome scenery.

#6: HEARTLAND LOOP TRIP  July 19 - 28 (10 Days)

This is an excellent opportunity for you to enjoy high-quality fishing for native cutthroat trout available on the upper Southfork Flathead River and it’s tributaries. See the Rocky Mountain wildflowers in full bloom on this trip. 

#7: YOUNG'S CREEK / ALPINE LAKES  August 2 - 7 (6 Days)

This is the last trip of the season with this popular and relaxing itinerary to travel, explore and enjoy the 20 miles of the Young’s Creek Drainage and it’s tributaries over Pyramid Pass. And the fly fishing for native Cutthroat Trout in the lower canyon is blue ribbon.

#8: SOUTHFORK HEADWATERS FISHING TRIPAugust 16 - 22 (7 Days)

The dog days of summer offer us some of the West's finest fishing for cutthroat trout. This is the final trip of the season to the main river.

#9: SOUTHFORK HEADWATERS FISHING TRIP September 1 - 5 (5 Days)

From our base camp in Leota Park on Youngs Creek you have access to several quality alpine lakes and mountain streams. And a ride up to Crimson Peak will make life-long memories.

#10: WILDERNESS BASE CAMP PHOTO & FISHING TRIPSeptember 7 - 11 (5 Days)

Leota Park makes a perfect setting to capture on film the vibrant colors as summer turns to fall in the alpine basins of the Rocky Mount

NOTES:Minimum age for horseback riding is 6 years. The insurance prohibits pregnant women from riding.

You will stay in teepee tents with covered floors and screened doors. Hearty meals are prepared and served under the kitchen fly.   They take up to 10 people on each trip.
